Moreover, Lake Garda is also famous for the production of fine wines, such as Bardolino and Lugana.

La Valpantena

The Valpantena is a valley that starts in Verona and ascends towards the Lessini Mountains.
The most accredited hypothesis regarding the etymology of the valley's name is the derivation from pantheon, a Roman temple, located in Santa Maria in Stelle (so called because of its ceiling painted like a starry vault).
The valley is home to numerous Venetian villas, ruins dating back to the time of Cangrande della Scala and other works of art. Valpantena is part of the Valpolicella wine district where Valpolicella, Amarone della Valpolicella and Recioto della Valpolicella are produced. Olive oil production and livestock breeding are also significant.

La Valpolicella

Valpolicella is a renowned wine region located in the province of Verona in north-eastern Italy. Its wine-growing history dates back centuries and the area is characterised by a hilly landscape and a temperate climate.
Valpolicella produces some of the best-loved wines, in particular Valpolicella, Amarone della Valpolicella and Recioto della Valpolicella. These wines are known and renowned throughout the world for their organoleptic characteristics, lovely bouquets, careful ageing and intensity.
Valpolicella is known for its fine wineries and landscapes, making it an ideal destination for connoisseurs and lovers of good wine.

Lessinia Natural Park

Lessinia is a plateau located in the north-east of Italy, in the Veneto region. It is an area of great natural and landscape interest, characterised by mountains, sinkholes, meadows, forests and streams. Its fauna is rich in native species, such as squirrels, golden eagles, marmots, deer, foxes, chamois and others. Lessinia is also famous for its typical products, such as Monte Veronese DOP cheese and traditional salami, which can be tasted in the characteristic malghe (shepherd's huts).
Numerous paths and trails allow you to explore this fascinating territory and admire its splendid landscapes.
On the Lessinia mountains, it is possible to practice a wide variety of sports, such as Nordic skiing, free climbing, Nordic walking, cross-country skiing, trekking and relaxing horse riding.
